“PRIMA” the First Initiative of Its Kind

Representing Jordan, SG of the Higher Council for Science and Technology “Dr. Khaled Elshurydeh” and “Mrs. Russo”, representing EU-Commission, Director for International Cooperation in DG RTD, has initially signed the international agreement “Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area/ PRIMA”.

 This Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area/ PRIMA; is an initiative with the aim to build research and innovation capacities and to develop knowledge and common innovative solutions for agro-food systems, to make them sustainable, and for integrated water provision and management in the Mediterranean Area.

PRIMA is the first initiative of its kind to count with the participation of non-EU countries which are not associated to EU Research Framework Programmes on equal footing with EU Member States and Associated Countries.

PRIMA was signed on 10th Jul. 2017; at the European Union buildings in Brussels, Belgium.
