Job Description:  PaaS Business Development, Product & Sales Manager

Purpose

Build a strong market position for the NCI by identifying, qualifying, developing, negotiating, and securing business relationships for the NCI portfolio of platform services. This person willdevelop sales channels, grow existing ones, build a sales pipeline, and maximize revenue for the NCI.

Role

Responsible for NCI services’ marketing and revenue generation strategies, including identifying potential new opportunities, setting subscription plans, packaging models, and pricing, crafting proposals and service agreements, and securing key accounts. This person will work under the guidance of the Project Management (PM) Consultant and NCI Director and is expected to evolve into the lead executive role, reporting directly to the NCI Director.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and implement a marketing and sales strategy for the NCI IT Platform, from inception to implementation, evaluating options for market growth and assessing potential enterprise and individual customer bases.
  2. Identify and qualify potential enterprise customers by contacting organizations, conduct roadshows for potential platform customers, exploring opportunities, presenting, implementing negotiating strategies, and ultimately converting them into clients.
  3. Research and build new and existing accounts and maintain a central customer repository and target account list (i.e.: adding contacts, emails, strategic calling). Expected to identify and make up to 20 dials per week to key prospects and meet 3-5 weekly.
  4. Lead the NCI revenue strategy. Build, analyze and continuously optimize the monetization of the Platform services, including subscriptions, pricing, and promotions.
  5. Serve as a point of contact between the NCI and its customer base on matters related to sales, contracts and service success. Negotiate access agreements, establishing Service Level Agreements (SLA) between the NCI and its customers ensuring contracts are in place to support the services provided through the Platform and by the IT Manager.
  6. Develop a solid, well-qualified sales pipeline, prepare sales plan, and maintain financial projections and analysis. Define financial metrics of SLAs on the Platform services.
  7. Oversee establishing and running customer service functions and user training, in coordination with the IT Manager, as needed, including writing platform user tutorials.
  8. Coordinate with the IT Manager and the Marketing Manager the needed pre, during, and post-sales support in order to maintain active marketing and the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  9. Make recommendations towards scaleup of Platform services or development of new customer solutions that underscore strategic enhancements or expansions with a focus on monetized functionalities. Engage with customers to assess and validate. Consult with NCI senior managers with a view to developing such services, products and ways for revenue optimization.
  10. Prepare the NCI P&L sheets in coordination with the NCI Director and other staff.

 

Requirements: Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or information technology.
  2. 5+ years in a customer-facingposition withhands-on experience in ICT-related sales or business development.
  3. Marketing or sales technical experience in areas of cloud, platform services, or SaaS is a plus.
  4. Passionate about customer success, listening to customers, understanding their agendas, and committing to their values of integrity and service.
  5. Demonstrated marketing aptitude and superior face-to-face communication skills, and high degree of professionalism, with a confident, and assertive style.
  6. A strong focus on results and a high degree of business acumen.
  7. Strong telephone sales skills to deliver clear, high-quality, and effective communications.
  8. High standard of written and verbal communication – clear, concise and accurate, and able to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
  9. Independent self-starter, highly self-motivated, great organizational skills, and able to work on multiple requirements simultaneously with minimal direction/supervision.
  10. Show interest in and be conversant of latest trends in Information Technology, current and emerging web-based technologies and understanding.
  11. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Power Point, Excel. Knowledge of Dropbox and Salesforce is a plus.
